On 12 December 2019, the delegation of La Trobe (LTU), Australia led by the Vice President, Dr. Sonia Reisenhofer, worked with Ton Duc Thang University to deploy the undergraduate and postgraduate educational programs, especially the major of Nursing Care. Dr. Tran Trong Dao, vice president along with Heads of the Department of Undergraduate Studies, Graduate Studies and other faculties welcomed her.

This is the first educational cooperation program made between LTU and an outside university of Australia. The education will be conducted by LTU professors and classes will be held at TDTU (Vietnam) and LTU (Australia). This is the effort of two universities to provide students with international education. According to the plan, TDTU will especially open the international standard nursing center and hospital at Bao Loc Campus, where the climate is temperate and suitable for rest. 

Dr. Sonia Reisenhofer assessed the development goals of TDTU’S health sciences to be promising; and made a commitment that LTU is willing to accompany TDTU. 

LTU is one of the most famous universities in Australia on the quality of education as well as the global dynamism in the world, (according to Times Higher Education Supplement Review in 2005). LTU has a close partnership with the state's best hospitals and health care centers, ensuring professional internship opportunities for students.
