On the afternoon of February 2nd, 2018, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the Doctoral Awards Ceremony for 03 doctoral students, including Huynh Quoc Bao, Dong Si Thien Chau and Vo Huu Hau, who had an excellent completion of their doctoral program on schedule. This is a bilateral training program among TDTU, Ostrava University of Technology and Tomas Bata University, Czech Republic to facilitate learning process of Vietnamese intellectuals, so that they are able to go on higher education with advanced programs worldwide while completing their work well in their country.
At the Awards Ceremony, Prof. Le Vinh Danh, President of TDTU congratulated the new PhDs for their hard work and efforts to complete the training program during their difficult work-study period. The achievements of new PhDs today will be an encouraging example of the research and study for TDTU’s lecturers and students. TDTU also thanked professors who have been teaching this PhD program, as well as partners that are top universities in the Czech Republic, for trusting and accompanying TDTU to train high-quality human resources that are the premise for the greater cooperation in the future.
The TDTU Sandwich Training Program has been implemented since the academic year of 2013-2014. Since then, there have been 5 intakes with nearly 90 PhD students in 22 majors. For the first intake 2013-2017, more than 100 articles have been published at international conferences, scientific journals in the ISI, Scopus, as well as practical research for the society; also, 5 out of 13 doctoral students successfully defended their doctoral thesis on schedule.
