Delegation of Ton Duc Thang University visits and works with Universities in Guangxi, China
On October 16 and 17, 2025, the Delegation of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) led by Dr. Tran Trong Dao - President visited and worked with Guangxi Normal University (GXNU) and Guangxi University of Foreign Languages (GUFL). The trip aims to demonstrate TDTU's efforts in expanding its international partnership network, bringing many opportunities for study, research and cultural exchange for students and lecturers of the University.
1. Visit and work with Guangxi Normal University
At the meeting, TDTU and GXNU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a new development in the relationship between the two schools. According to the agreement, the two sides will carry out key cooperation activities such as:
- Short-term student exchange, one-semester transfer study, and cultural exchange;
- Exchange of lecturers, research cooperation in the fields of Chinese language, culture, chemical engineering, and construction engineering;
- Co-organize international conferences on business and Chinese language.
2. Visit and work with Guangxi University of Foreign Studies
On the afternoon of October 17, 2025, the TDTU delegation continued to visit and work with Guangxi University of Foreign Studies (GUFL) in Nanning City. The two sides discussed potential cooperation opportunities in training cooperation, student exchange and cultural exchange, aiming to enhance the strengths of both schools. The main areas of cooperation proposed include:
- Joint training program in Vietnamese linguistics and Vietnamese culture according to the (3 + 1) model with dual degrees, in which the first phase is studied at GUFL and the second phase is studied at TDTU;
- International student exchange and cultural exchange; 1-semester and short-term study programs (with credit transfer) in the fields of language, business, and engineering, especially welcoming GUFL students to study short-term Vietnamese at TDTU;
- Academic exchange for lecturers/researchers between the two schools;
- and other cooperation directions related to training and scientific research.
