On the afternoon of October 30, 2020, a great number of students from the Faculty of Information Technology excitedly participated in an event that connects businesses with students with the topic: "IT Career: Creativity and Future". This event is part of the chain of community activities in 2020, which is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA) coordinating with 10 universities and colleges, and is sponsored by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology. TDTU is the 7th campus in this series of events.
The speakers of the event included Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - General Secretary of the HCMC City Computer Association, Director of Quang Trung Software Business Incubator; Mr. Pham The Trung - Deputy Director of VNPT-IT Area 2 Center; Mr. Tran Cong Cao, General Director of Apex Global Corporation; and Ms. Huynh Dinh Khanh Linh, Director of the World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City (under Becamex IDC).
The speakers gave talks on prominent technology trends in the period 2020-2025, inspiring to continue doing research, accumulate more experience and develop a solid career in the future. In particular, Ms. Huynh Dinh Khanh Linh laid emphasis on start-ups from innovative and creative perspectives of the IT industry during and after the Covid-19 period. Besides, as an employer, she also gave practical advice to students about the requirements of the business during personnel recruitment.
According to the report on the human resources market in 2020, information technology is still one of the thriving industries that directly affects all aspects of the economy and society. This is also one of the industries with many job opportunities and attractive income.
At TDTU, networking activities and practical experiences which bring practical benefits to students are always focused on in order to expose them to the profession earlier, to have the opportunity to learn from industry experts, thereby having a more specific orientation on the future career.
