On the evening of October 12, 2020, the Final Round of Investment Challenge TDTU 2020 Competition (Securities Investment Challenge 2020) was held at Hall 6B.

The contest was organized by the Center for Applied Economic Research and Training (CAERT) in collaboration with Faculty of Finance and Banking together with New Stock Investment Club (NSC) of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). The program was professionally sponsored by Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE), and media sponsored by Vietnam Investment Review (VIR), Online Finance & Life (Fili), and financial portal Vietstock.vn

The finale was attended by Dr. Tran Trong Dao, TDTU Representative who gave the welcoming speech. Representatives of the sponsors of the Competition also attended and cheered for the teams.

The eight teams competing in the final night were the most elite representatives from major universities in Ho Chi Minh City. Their confidence, creativity, and talent brought the audience an exciting and dramatic night.

Before coming to the Final Round, they went through 3 phases of the competition with diverse professional requirements as follows:

Phase 1: Kick-off (General knowledge about securities)

Phase 2: Obstacle Overcoming (In-depth knowledge of securities and securities investment)

Phase 3: On target (Presentation, stock portfolio protection)

After hours of intense competition in the Final Round, prizes were awarded to the following teams:

• First prize: CQR team, including members from TDTU, HCMC University of Economics, Open University, University of Finance and Marketing, University of Economics - Law, RMIT University, University of Food Industry, and Dong Nai Technical College.
• Second prize: PATE team, consisting of members from TDTU.
• Third prize: TVT team, including members from University of Finance and Marketing and University of Economics - Law; F0 team, including University of Food Industry and TDTU.
• The Prospects prize was awarded to the remaining 4 teams. 

This was the third season of the Competition, with the number of teams entering the Finals higher than last year (from 6 to 8 teams). In particular, the teams have been financed to experience the real investment.

Investment Challenge TDTU 2020 has created a meaningful and practical playground for students who are passionate about securities investment, and simultaneously create motivation to make students more active in academic activities, extracurricular activities; help students to have an early experience of corporate culture, and accumulate knowledge and work experience while they are still studying in school.
