On the morning of September 19th, 2020, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), in collaboration with Sales & Marketing Executives International (SMEI), held the Certificate Award Ceremony of SCPS™ (Certified Professional Salesperson) and SCPM™ (Certified Professional Marketer) for the students of TDTU.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Quy, Academic Director; Mr. Pham Thien Phu, Director of SMEI Vietnam Training Center; and the trainers team and partner enterprises attended the ceremony. From TDTU, Dr. Tran Trong Dao, the University Representative; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly, Dean; Dr. Phung Minh Tuan, Head of Marketing major; some lecturers, students of Intake 20 and student representatives of other intakes of the Faculty of Business Administration.
After 360 hours of practical study and 1 year of studying the international-standard vocational certificate program entirely in English, 58 students of Intake 20 majoring in Marketing Management - TDTU's High Quality program was honored to be awarded SCPS (Certified Professional Salesperson) and SCPM (Certified Professional Marketer).
Participating in these courses, learners will be trained in professional skills, combining the theory and practice to improve the ability, attract employers, and expand integration with the global sales and marketing community.
With the aim of guiding students to develop their skills and create a competitive advantage in the global labor market, TDTU has quickly implemented the international certificate training programs in parallel with the study program at the University. SCPS™ and SCPM™ are two of the accreditation certificates of prestigious international professional associations that TDTU offers to learners, especially for the High Quality education program.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Quy, Academic Director of SMEI shared: “The combination of TDTU's and SMEI’s training program comprehensively meets all three criteria including international integration, theory and practice combination, and training in knowledge and skills. We highly appreciate the dynamism, learning spirit as well as the qualifications of TDTU students. Getting an international certificate is a good start to their career development in the future. They are the first Vietnamese students to obtain an international career certificate while still studying in university. It is the pride not only for themselves but also for their families, the university and SMEI.”
Nguyen Hoang Khiem, the student with the highest score in the international certification exam, represented SCPS™ and SCPM™ certified students, expressed gratitude to his parents and lecturers at SMEI as well as the Faculty of Business Administration; and affirmed that the practical knowledge learned at SMEI is a valuable asset for him to be steadier in the future.
