The closing ceremony of the Vietnamese Immersion program for students from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific

In the afternoon of September 13, 2019, the Vietnamese Immersion program for students from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), Japan at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) came to an end. The one-month extensive course was the integration of studying Vietnamese and exploring the Vietnamese culture. The program was implemented by the Center for Vietnamese Studies and Languages at TDTU.

In the closing ceremony, the APU student representative said a few words on the course: “When I first arrived in Vietnam, I could not communicate with people due to the language barrier, but now I feel confident when I speak Vietnamese even though I'm not fluent. I also acknowledge some features of the Vietnamese culture, which is quite similar to our Japanese culture. I’m extremely grateful for all the help of lecturers and students at TDTU. If I have another opportunity, I will definitely come back and work in Vietnam.”
