On March 15, 2019, Wego Korea Group led by President No Ok Hee visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Welcoming the delegation are Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice-president of TDTU; Prof. Trinh Quang Phu, Chairman and President of the Oriental Development Research Institute, Members of TDTU Council, Leaders of the Department of Science and Technology Development Management (Demasted) and the Faculty of Pharmacy.

At the meeting, Ms. No Ok Hee, Chairman of Wego Korea Group introduced the activities and strong products of Wego Korea and hoped to cooperate with TDTU. Dr. Tran Trong Dao said that cooperation prospect between TDTU and Wego Korea was huge. TDTU’s faculty of Pharmacy and Wego Korea can become reliable partners to research and produce high quality natural medicines. In addition, TDTU also wants to cooperate in research on cancer treatment pharmaceuticals, one of Wego Korea’s strengths.

Professor Trinh Quang Phu, who connects TDTU with Wego Korea, suggested that the two parties coordinate to establish a joint research group belonging to TDTU Natural Compound Research Institute to implement research projects. Prof. Nguyen Minh Duc highly appreciated the direction of Wego Korea’s natural medicine development, which is also an interest in Vietnamese context of plentiful natural medicinal resources.

Wego Korea specializes in studying natural pharmaceuticals and microorganisms to be applied in vaccine production and they successfully cured H1N1 flu. The two sides hoped that the cooperation will help create high quality new products, as well as help expand Wego Korea’s market in Vietnam.
