On September 20, 2024, at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), a cooperation signing ceremony took place between TDTU and the Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs.
Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the Department of Employment, there were Dr. Vu Trong Binh – Director General of the Department of Employment, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen – Deputy Director General of the Department of Employment, and Mr. Phung Quoc Vuong – Head of Labour Relations Department, Department of Employment.
From TDTU, there was the presence of Dr. Tran Trong Dao – the University President, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy – Vice President, Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau – Vice President, along with leaders and representatives of Faculties and Departments of the University.
TDTU and the Department of Employment signed a cooperation agreement, building a friendly and united relationship, enhancing exchanges, cooperation, support, sharing, and mutual assistance for the benefit and development of the two units. Both sides also aimed to maximize their capabilities, potentials, and strengths for mutual development.
At the ceremony, Dr. Vu Trong Binh, Director General of the Department of Employment, appreciated TDTU’s sharp and flexible thinking towards rapid changes of the labour market. Based on the function of labour market management and the ability to grasp specific needs of enterprises, the Department of Employment aims to support TDTU to become a high-quality training institute, providing highly qualified human resources for the labour market. The representative of the Department of Employment also hoped that the University would help in promoting the policies of the Department to enterprises and localities. TDTU representatives and the Department of Employment committed to building an enthusiastic, dedicated, responsible and effective cooperative relationship, becoming partners who accompany and support each other.
Immediately after the ceremony, TDTU and the delegation of the Department of Employment coordinated to organize a panel discussion about the amendment of the labour laws. The contents discussed at the panel included foreign labour management and the labour management procedure in the amended draft Law on Employment.
