Lakehead University visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University

On the morning of January 24, 2019, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) welcomed the delegation of Lakehead University (LU), Canada to pay a working visit and discuss cooperation issues between the two universities. Leading the delegation was Dr. Moira Mcpherso, President & Vice-Chancellor of Lakehead University. Representatives of TDTU included Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice-president of TDTU, a representative of the College of International Studies, and Head of Department for Management of Science and Technology Development.

The two sides exchanged collaborative plan such as scientific research cooperation, students, lecturers and professors exchange, organizing short-term and long-term training programs, and especially granting scholarships to Student Employment Experience Development program of Canadian Government (SEED program). At the meeting, Lakehead University also introduced its representatives in Vietnam to be able to exchange more frequently about future cooperation plans between the two universities.

LU was ranked 12th out of more than 90 public universities in Canada according to Maclean 2010 Rankings. In Ontario, LU is ranked third among eight universities offering undergraduate courses in Ontario (including Brock, Lakehead, Laurentian, Nipissing, Ryerson, Trent, Wilfrid Laurier, UOIT). At LU, 94% of graduates have jobs within 2 years after graduation.
