Each University must be a "heart of the creative ecosystem" with many initiatives to help students develop comprehensively such as: apply technology to education (Edtech), improve teaching methods and programs, strengthen research activities and international publication , proceed to the internationalization of science review standards and professional activities; exploit and develop  diverse learners’ ability (creativity, start-up, people management skills, cognitive skills, flexibility and problem solving, ...). There are also the criteria which TDTU have been performed successfully on the itinerary to develop into a research university during the past 20 years.

Professor Sophie Pène also spent time visiting TDTU. She appreciated that the school's renovation was done for the integration.
