On the 3rd of December, 2017 at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), Molly Ferrill - a photographer, writer and documentary film maker visited and delivered her talk to TDTU lecturers and students in the periodically public speaking program in December 2017.

For the topic “Documenting our relationship with nature”, Molly Ferrill stated that in the modern society in which we live, people often find themselves disconnected from nature. With her passion for nature, she wants to use her photography and film to shorten the gap between humanity and nature. Molly Ferrill introduced a number of ways in which people have been re-connected to nature through international projects she has participated in such as discovering the biodiversity protection activities of the Thai forest rangers; the unique relationship between people and elephants in Myanmar; over-fishing as well as wildlife trade issues in Asia. From this experience, she called on the community in general, TDTU lecturers and students in particular with concrete and practical actions such as preserving teaching space, learning green and clean, join hands to protect the environment, ensure the biodiversity and harmonious development between people and nature.
