In the afternoon of 16 May 2017, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held a signing ceremony of cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Auditors (VACPA). The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Le Vinh Danh, President of TDTU; Leaders of attached departments; Mr. Pham Sy Danh, Former Chairman of VACPA, Vice Minister of Finance; Mr. Vo Hung Tien, Vice President of VACPA, and VACPA Board of Directors.
On the basis of the needs and capabilities of bilateral cooperation, the two sides agreed to implement actions to provide information, coordinate training and scientific research. In particular, the agreement focuses on the following tasks: providing documents related to accounting profession, national and international accounting, coordinating scientific research in the field of auditing and accounting including issues related to occupational management, standards and audit techniques, developing and incorporating training courses on accounting practice, assisting students and trainees to access TDTU with auditing firms, developing and exploiting consultancy, technology transfer and training activities for auditing enterprises, supporting the propagation and promotion of occupations between the two organizations. The event has created a new turning point with many opportunities for students of Accounting Department to study in practice connecting theory with the reality of social activities in order to meet the needs of enterprises in general and auditing companies in particular when leaving the University.
