On the morning of 29/09/2017, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) solemnly held the graduation ceremony with the presence of the Presidential Board, Faculty Deans, Departments, teachers, parents along with 1,744 new masters and bachelors.
In the opening remarks, Prof. Le Vinh Danh, President of the TDTU congratulated the new masters, bachelors and engineers for their hard work and efforts to overcome the challenging time of graduate and undergraduate studies. With the knowledge and temperament practiced over the years, it is believed that new masters, bachelors and engineers will continue to strive not only to fulfill the ambition of building their personal career but to show their gratitude to their parents and to serve the country. The latest survey from the Center for Business Collaboration and Alumni of the TDTU, shows that the percentage of students who created their own jobs and got a job within one year of their graduation was 99.3%, it is the highest rate ever; In particular, there are many industries in which our studenrts are reaching 100% rate of employment. Many employers appreciate the value of TDTU students for their "professional ethics, discipline and politeness".
On this occasion, the University rewarded 55 excellent bachelor’s students (3.15%); 80 students graduated in advance; and 09 bachelors and engineers have achieved TOEIC scores of over 900. Among them are the distinguished students such as Truong Thi Minh Chau (Faculty of accounting) who graduated with a good grade point average of 8.83; Le Thi Xuan May (Faculty of Information Technology) who graduated with an average score of 8.44 and two articles of scientific research published in the International Conference Proceeding at Nan Yang University of Technology, Singapore and this proceeding has been included in the ISI / Scopus Database; Truong Quoc Hung (Faculty of Information Technology) who achieved 945 international TOEIC scores; Le Hieu Nghia (Faculty of Sports Science) with the following achievements: being an excellent bachelor, winning two gold medals of Taekwondo World Champion in 2013 and 2017, 06 consecutive gold medals in the Taekwondo champion of South East Asia in 2013, 2015 and 2017, 1 silver medal, 2 bronze medals in Taekwondo Asian Champion in 2014 and 2016; 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal at UNIVERSIADE or Students Olympics in 2015, receiving the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2016 for outstanding performance at UNIVERSIADE; silver medal in the 28th SEA Games in Singapore 2015, bronze medal in the 29th SEA Games in Malaysia 2017.
This September graduation ceremony took place in the joyful atmosphere of celebrating 20 years of establishment and development of the Ton Duc Thang University.
