On December 18, 2021, the closing ceremony of the 23rd Euréka - Scientific Research Student Award was organized at the Youth Cultural House of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). Students of Ton Duc Thang University excellently won many awards: 1 first prize, 1 second prize and 2 consolation prizes.
The First Prize in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities was awarded to the student group of Nguyen Quynh Anh, Ho Dieu Lan and Duong Thien Tam, students of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities with the topic "Impacts of Tourists' Beliefs in Government's Performance and Perceived Risk from Covid-19 to Travel Behaviour”. The research was instructed by Dr. Nguyen Minh Huan.
The Second prize in the field of Chemical and pharmaceutical technology was awarded to the student group of Pham Trung Duc, Huynh Le Nhi Linh, Chung Bao Ngan with the topic "Research on synthesis of multi-capillary silica-Alumino-Phosphate catalyst in nanosheet form with activity and high active stability applied to increase the yield of olefins from methanol metabolism”. The research was instructed by Dr. Vo Nguyen Xuan Phuong.
The Consolation Prize in the field of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries was awarded to the student group of Ly Cam Tu and Le Quynh Anh with the topic "Research on technology to create microbial coatings for urea pellets in Vietnam". The research was instructed by Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan.
The Consolation Prize in the field of Natural Resources – Environment was awarded to the student group of Le Trong Nghia, Phan Thi My Linh, To Thi Ngoc Nhu and Nguyen Minh Hien with the topic "Research to improve the quality of activated carbon and bio-oil products obtained from the rapid pyrolysis of various byproducts by electron irradiation". The research was instructed by Dr. Vo Nguyen Xuan Phuong.
The Euréka Scientific Research Students Awards is a competition for students who are passionate about scientific research across the country organized by Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union in cooperation with Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City. The competition aims at strongly and extensively stimulating scientific research among students of universities and colleges nationwide.
In 2021, the Euréka Prizes attracted 132 universities, colleges and institutes from 32 provinces and cities nationwide with 1,251 research topics.
The Euréka Prizes is divided into 12 fields including: Chemical and pharmaceutical technology; Biotechnology - biomedical; Information technology; Food Technology; Education; Economy; Technology; Agriculture, Forestry and fishery; law; Planning, Architecture and Construction; Natural Resources and Environment, Social sciences and Humanities.
The 23rd Euréka Scientific Research Student Award has awarded a total of 117 prizes, of which the First prize is worth 10,000,000 VND, along with a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Creative Youth Badge.
Instructors with students who won special prizes, first prizes, second prizes and third prizes would be awarded certificates of merit and will be awarded certificates of merit by Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.
