Theme of the Summer Course is: Connecting with Nature. The course for elementary students is flexibly built in each week, including a variety of topics such as animals, plants, food, nature protection, climate, water and amazing race, which are directly taught by Finnish teachers. From practical interactions at the school and field trips, students will discover the beauty of nature to initiate love for living things around them. In addition, the program also aims to strengthen social skills, English competencies as well as focus on nutrition and diet for students. Joining the course, all students are required to behave in accordance with the school's own behavior regulations and practice to form a cooperative attitude as well as maintain good relationships with teachers, staff and other students.
Connecting with nature is considered an effective way to strengthen the physical health and nurture students' souls. The Vietnam-Finland International School aims for the 2019 Summer Course to not only explore the love for nature in every student but also get an opportunity to introduce the best teaching methods of VFIS which are going to officially applied in the school year of 2019-2020.
