Thanh Nien Newspaper: Ton Duc Thang University Brings International Bachelor's Programs to Vietnamese Students
Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) continues to expand its partnerships with international universities to diversify academic offerings and provide Vietnamese students with greater access to world-class educational opportunities.

On May 22, TDTU officially launched the Waikato Bachelor of Business 3+0 Program in collaboration with the University of Waikato (New Zealand), marking an important milestone in the University’s strategy to bring internationally accredited education closer to Vietnamese students.
The launch ceremony was attended by the Consul General of New Zealand in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of the University of Waikato’s leadership, TDTU’s Board of Presidents, business partners, educational institutions, and prospective students interested in the program.

Study in Vietnam, Earn an International Degree
Under the Waikato Bachelor of Business 3+0 Program, students will study full-time at TDTU while following the curriculum, learning materials, and academic standards of the University of Waikato. Upon graduation, students will receive a Bachelor of Business degree awarded by the University of Waikato, carrying the same international recognition and value as degrees earned by students studying directly in New Zealand.
A key advantage of the program is that students can experience an international learning environment in Vietnam. Courses are taught by lecturers from the University of Waikato in collaboration with Vietnamese faculty members who meet AACSB international standards, ensuring that academic quality and learning experiences are equivalent to those offered in New Zealand.
The program currently offers three majors that are highly sought after in today’s era of digital transformation and globalization:
-
Finance
-
Digital Business
-
Supply Chain Management
The curriculum is application-oriented and incorporates emerging trends such as fintech, blockchain, data analytics, digital transformation, and global logistics, enabling graduates to thrive in international business environments and the global labor market.
This “study abroad at home” model offers significant cost advantages, allowing students to access a high-quality international education with substantially lower tuition and living expenses compared to pursuing a full overseas degree.

TDTU – A Modern International Education Environment for Global Citizens
As a research-oriented university, TDTU places strong emphasis on international cooperation, infrastructure development, educational quality enhancement, and scientific research. In addition to being recognized as one of Vietnam’s leading modern, green, and dynamic universities, TDTU has become a destination for international students from around the world.
As part of its long-term development strategy, the University has established academic partnerships with institutions in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Europe, creating more opportunities for Vietnamese students to access international education programs without leaving the country.

The partnership with the University of Waikato is the result of a rigorous evaluation and selection process undertaken by TDTU to identify a partner with strong academic prestige, outstanding educational quality, and alignment with the demands of developing a globally competitive workforce.
According to the QS World University Rankings 2026, the University of Waikato ranks among the top 1% of universities worldwide and is one of New Zealand’s leading research universities. Notably, Waikato Business School is among a select group of business schools globally that have achieved all three prestigious international accreditations—AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS—known collectively as the “Triple Crown Accreditation.”
This distinction serves as strong evidence of the program’s exceptional educational quality, rigorous international academic standards, and extensive connections with the global business community.
