Opening the class “Reinforcing knowledge on state management of tourism” for the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Thuan province

On November 23, 2021, the Social Development Training Center (SDTC) - Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) cooperated with the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Thuan province to organize the online Opening Ceremony of the class Reinforcing knowledge on state management of tourism”.

Attendees of the Ceremony included Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Acting President of TDTU, Dr. Tang Huu Tan - Director of SDTC, Mr. Do Thai Duong - Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Thuan province, along with students who are leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of districts/towns/Phan Thiet city; and leaders of departments and management boards of tourist areas and attractions in Binh Thuan province.

Dr. Tran Trong Dao highly appreciated the efforts of the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Thuan province in coordinating with the University  to organize classes during the prolonged complicated epidemic situation.

Mr. Do Thai Duong expressed that this class would supplement some new knowledge for Binh Thuan province to implement and complete the goals in the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on tourism development until 2025 and orientation to 2030.

The class takes place in 3 days, including 2 days instructed by foreign experts with direct interpretation. Students will be equipped with the required program content including:

  • Update new legal documents in the field of tourism; improve qualifications, knowledge and skills in connecting and building tourism products, as well as skills in implementing civilized behavior in tourism activities in the region.
  • Be aware of the role and factors affecting the effectiveness of the state management for staff in tourism of the province.
  • Improve the capacity and efficiency of state management in tourist areas (advising, leading, directing the implementation of tasks, and proposing directions and plans in the state management of tourism in the locality).

After completing these contents, the students are able to participate in building an effective model of local tourism management organization.
