Time flies as fast as lightning. It has been more than seven years since we entered the university. Choosing to study at a university with a very young age, a rather new field of study, there was really a lot of concerns in our minds at that time! However, with the enthusiastic teaching of the teachers, the Faculty of Environment and Labor Safety of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), we, the students of class 11MT1D had begun to get acquainted with, and gradually loved my field of study. Now we have been achieving many successes, making important contributions to the development of society in general and the environment and labor safety industry in Vietnam in particular. Each student has his/her own direction, some of them continue to study higher in Australia, Japan, Taiwan; some work in state organization, specialized agencies, research institutes; some work at multinational corporations, private companies spreading throughout the provinces in the country. No matter what field of work, our class alumni are always highly evaluated in terms of expertise, skills and discipline. The result we have today is the perfect answer to our previous questions at the university, and that is also the affirmation of TDTU's quality of education and training.

After more than 20 years of establishment and development with continuous efforts, until now the rank of TDTU has been recognized. My university is a prestigious and quality educational environment. It is a place to visit, and to learn experiences in the administration and management from almost all major universities in Vietnam. Starting from scratch, no facilities, no human resources, no curriculum and materials, no lab-equipment, TDTU now possesses a great resource and potential with 5 campuses in Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa and Ca Mau; more than 1,400 experts and lecturers with more than 50% of them are Ph.D. holders, and more than 200 doctors and professors are foreigners. In 2016, TDTU was recognized as the first university in Vietnam to become one of the world's top 200 sustainable development universities by the World University Rankings on Sustainable Development - UI GreenMetric World University Rankings ( GreenMetric). Also in 2016, TDTU is proud to receive the certificate of an "Environmentally friendly campus" from the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations. These achievements acknowledged the contribution of the university in forming and developing a "green" educational environment with a fresh, airy learning atmosphere in the busy urban area of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam in general. With the goal of becoming a research university in 2037 and belonging to TOP 500 best universities in the world, TDTU always focuses on developing educational and scientific and technological activities in the direction of internationalization and international level. In early 2018, TDTU continued to receive the 4 out of 5 stars rated by QS Stars University Ratings (UK) one of the top rating standards for prestigious universities in the world. In particular, the criteria for quality education, internationalization, facilities, inclusion etc. are evaluated with absolute scores; The employment status of graduates is rated 4 stars. Furthermore, on July 2, 2018, the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCÉRES) decided to recognize TDTU to meet the University standards of the French Republic (and also meet the standards of Europe) for TDTU.

More than three years living and studying in Taiwan, I always feel proud to have been studying and living under the common home named after Uncle Ton. We are proud that we used to live and study at a university ranked 1st and 2nd in Vietnam, and in the Department of Environment and Labor Safety with respectful teachers who are authentic teachers and we are true students!
