The 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress for Workers and Civil Servants for the Period 2025-2030: Ton Duc Thang University was Commended as an Outstanding Example

On October 26, 2025, in Hanoi, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour held the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress for Workers and Civil Servants to honor collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement during the period 2020-2025. Earlier, the delegation attending the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress for Workers and Civil Servants participated in a ceremony to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum.

At the Congress, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) was honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour as “an outstanding example in the Patriotic Emulation Movement for the period 2020-2025.” This recognition is a well-deserved acknowledgment of the continuous efforts of all TDTU leaders, lecturers, and staff in building a dynamic, creative, disciplined, and internationally integrated higher education environment.

During the period 2020-2025, Ton Duc Thang University has achieved numerous remarkable accomplishments: maintaining its position in prestigious international university rankings, promoting scientific research and international publications, completing the model of a fully autonomous public university, and taking the lead in digital transformation and sustainable development.

 

Honoring Dr. Tran Trong Dao – an outstanding and exemplary role model

Along with the University community, Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of Ton Duc Thang University, was commended and awarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour as “an outstanding and exemplary individual nationwide in the period 2020-2025”.

Dr. Tran Trong Dao was honored for his outstanding contributions to the leadership, management, and comprehensive development of the University. He has been a pioneer in innovation, digital transformation, scientific research advancement, international publication, and global higher education integration. Under his leadership, Ton Duc Thang University has become one of Vietnam’s leading autonomous public universities, earning a strong reputation and position in regional and international rankings.

 

Significance and pride

The title of “National Outstanding Example” is not only a prestigious honor awarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, but also a tremendous source of encouragement and inspiration for Ton Duc Thang University. It motivates the University to continue affirming its position as a leading autonomous public university, pioneering in innovation, creativity, and international integration.

This honor stands as a testament to the spirit of emulation, dedication, and aspiration for advancement of all leaders, lecturers, and staff of the University. It reflects their active contribution to the renewal and development of Vietnam’s higher education.
