The Party Committee of Ton Duc Thang University Participated in the Conference on Studying, Thoroughly Grasping, Disseminating, and Implementing the Resolution and the Action Program of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Peopl
On September 25, 2025, the Party Committee of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized an online venue to participate in the Conference on studying, thoroughly grasping, disseminating and implementing the Resolution and the Action Program of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee for the term 2025 - 2030. The conference was chaired by the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, held in a combined format of in-person and online sessions taking place at Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy and connecting to online venues of the grassroots Party Committees under its authority.
At the TDTU venue, participants included comrades who are members of the Executive Committee of the University Party Committee; Secretaries/Executive Committee members and Party members of the affiliated Party cells; members of the Executive Committee of the University Trade Union; members of the Executive Committee of the University Youth Union; and leaders of affiliated and subordinate units within the University.
The conference aimed to enable cadres, Party members, civil servants, officials and employees to thoroughly understand the fundamental and core contents as well as the guiding spirit of the Resolution and the Congress’s Action Program. This would help foster a high level of unity in awareness, will and action throughout the entire Party Committee; provide the foundation for developing the Action Program and work plans for each Party Committee, agency, and unit from the beginning of the tenure; ensure that these are practical, feasible, and aligned with their functions, tasks, and actual conditions, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the Congress’s Resolution.
Specifically, at the Conference, delegates listened to reports on the following thematic reports:
(1)The thematic report titled “Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee for the Term 2025 - 2030,” delivered by Comrade Tran Van Nam - Member of the City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee;
(2)The thematic report titled “The Action Program for Implementing the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee for the Term 2025 - 2030,” delivered by Comrade Nguyen Loc Ha - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee;
(3) The thematic report titled “Compensation and Resettlement Support in Land Acquisition by the State in Ho Chi Minh City,” delivered by Comrade Nguyen Toan Thang - Member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
At the conclusion of the thematic presentations, Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee - delivered his directive remarks at the Conference.
Delivering his directive remarks at the Conference, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc, emphasized that no matter how elaborately and comprehensively a resolution is formulated, it would remain merely a document unless it is put into practice. He affirmed that effective implementation is the decisive factor for the city’s rapid and sustainable development in the coming period. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, the core task for the entire political system is that each level and each sector must firmly grasp the spirit of the resolution and turn it into a “compass” for action. This requires the consensus and concerted efforts of cadres, Party members, the people, and the business community, thereby ensuring that every aspect of social life is guided and oriented in line with the shared vision.
