On February 16th, 2019 afternoon, the University Party Committee of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) solemnly celebrated the 89th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Communist Party (February 3rd, 1930 - February 3rd, 2019) combining with the meeting of the whole University Party Committee and learning The 8th plenum of the 12th Central Committee.

At the anniversary, the University Party Committee reviewed the glorious historical tradition, and important achievements and the leadership of Vietnam Communist Party for Vietnam Revolution.

On this occasion, the University Party Committee, authorized by the City Party Committee, awarded the 30-year-old Party Badge to Party member Le Thi Liem (a member of the Administrative Cell no.2) and the 45-year-old Party Badge for Party member Nguyen Tien Loc (member of the Cell of the Lecturers of socio-economic division), and gave golden plaques to Party members who were 10, 20 and 40 Party years old.

Immediately after the anniversary and the meeting of the whole University Party Committee, The University Party Committee organized the training session on The 8th Plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee, reported by Mr. Ha Trung Thanh, Lecturer of the Institute for Cadre Development of Ho Chi Minh City.

During the meeting program, Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung, member of the University Board, former Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, shared the story and the meaning of the process of building Gac Ma Memorial Zone in Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province and Hoang Sa Martyr Memorial Zone in Ly Son Island, Quang Ngai Province. All participants in the hall were touched when they were told about their previous generation’s lofty sacrifice and the unforgettable and glorious years of the Nation.
