On May 31, 2024, a scientific seminar titled “Implementing the Law on Consumer Protection 2023 in the New Consumer Trends” took place at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).

The seminar was organized by the Faculty of Law at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) with the participation of several distinguished guests, including Ms. Phan Thi Viet Thu, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Consumer Protection Association; Master of Laws Vu Gia Kien, representative of the Executive Committee of the Dong Nai Province Bar Association; and Dr. Chau Phung Chi, Deputy Head of the Natural Resources and Environment Department of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

From TDTU, the seminar was attended by Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly, Vice Chairwoman of the University Council and Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, along with representatives of various Departments, Units, lecturers, and students of the Faculty of Law at TDTU.

Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Dean of the Faculty of Law at TDTU, served as the Head of the Organizing Committee. Dr. Dinh Thi My Loan, a lecturer in the Faculty of Law at TDTU, an arbitrator at the Vietnam International Arbitration Center, and Honorary Chairwoman of the Vietnam Retailers Association, delivered the keynote address at the seminar.

At the seminar, experts, scientists, regulatory agencies, and lawmakers came together to discuss and share their perspectives on the new provisions of the Law on Consumer Protection 2023 and related legal documents. They examined regulations concerning the protection of consumer rights, methods and procedures for dispute resolution, and practical experiences in complying with and implementing consumer protection regulations.
