From 3rd to 5th of August, 2018, Saigon Summer School of Science took place at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). This is a training program of scientific research for high school students and students who are interested in this field, which was held for the first time by TDTU in collaboration with the Vietnamese Young Scholars and will continue to be held periodically in the following years.
Participating in the Saigon Summer School of Science, students had an opportunity to exchange directly with lecturers from leading universities in Vietnam on a variety of topics such as critical thinking, writing arts, scientific research methods, experiences of applying for scholarships and academic career orientation. In addition, students were also provided with chance to experience and learn different activities such as self-study at the Inspire Library; meditation in the Meditation room called "Return to the heart" and physical training at the Gymnasium and Stadium.
The participation in Saigon Summer School of Science helped students find out their own strengths, be more interested in studying and researching science as well as develop their life skills to choose the right future for themselves.
