The Pilot Congress of the Socio-Economic Party Cell 1 under the Party Committee of Ton Duc Thang University, Term 2025–2027
On January 6, 2025, the Socio-Economic Party Cell 1 under the Party Committee of Ton Duc Thang University held the 7th Party Congress for the term 2025–2027. This is the second of 18 affiliated Party cells under the Party Committee of University to organize a pilot congress.
Attending to direct the Congress, there was the presence of comrade Vu Anh Duc, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; comrade Tran Trong Dao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the University; along with representatives of Party-building Boards from the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City University and College, members of the Executive Committee of the University Party Committee, Secretaries and Deputy secretaries of affiliated Party cells, and all members of the Socio-Economic Party Cell 1.
The 7th Party Congress of the Socio-Economic Party Cell 1 for the term 2025–2027 aimed to review the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congress for the term 2022–2025, evaluate achievements, shortcomings, newly arising issues, strengths, weaknesses, causes, and lessons learned. Based on this analysis, the Congress set forth directions, objectives, and key tasks for the upcoming term, and proposed solutions appropriate to the unit’s actual situations.
During the term 2022–2025, the Cell Committee and members of the Socio-Economic Party Cell 1 upheld a strong tradition of solidarity, overcame challenges, and strived to successfully achieve political targets and tasks; consistently exhibited dynamism and creativity in organizing patriotic emulation movements; led Party members, lecturers and staff to develop firm political and ideological stances, trust in the Party’s reform leadership, and strictly adhere to State policies and laws while effectively leading specialized units and socio-political organizations to accomplish key tasks, including teaching, scientific research, guiding students in scientific research, fostering international and enterprise cooperation, accrediting study programs, and promoting a culture of respectful behavior among students.
Upholding the spirit of centralism, democracy, and intelligence, the Congress elected the 7th Cell Committee of the Socio-Economic Party Cell 1 for the term 2025–2027, comprising three members. The Congress re-elected comrade Pham Thi Minh Ly as Secretary and comrade Nguyen Dinh Hoa as Deputy Secretary. Additionally, delegates were elected to attend the Party Committee Congress of Ton Duc Thang University for the term 2025–2030.
The 7th Congress of the Socio-Economic Party Cell 1 for the term 2025–2027 concluded successfully. The Party Cell excelled in its role as the pilot congress assigned by the University Party Committee. This achievement marks as a significant milestone in preparing for the upcoming congresses of Party Cells under the University Party Committee for the term 2025–2027, paving the way for the 4th Party Committee Congress of Ton Duc Thang University for the term 2025–2030.
Immediately following the Congress of the Socio-Economic Party Cell 1, the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee held a review conference to evaluate the organization and leadership of the pilot congress. This effort aims to ensure the successful organization of the congresses of the remaining Party Cells, contributing to the overall success of Party Committee congresses at all levels for the term 2025–2030.
