Opening Ceremony of the Military Semester of the Academic Year 2019-2020

On the morning of July 5th, 2020, 106 students of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and lecturers of the Center for National Defense and Security Education celebrated the Opening Ceremony of the Military Semester.

As planned, each year TDTU organizes 2 Military Semesters (in Semester 1 and Summer Semester) for students to attend all educational programs at TDTU.

There are 499 students attending the Military Semester at Bao Loc Campus this Summer Semester (Academic Year 2019-2020). The semester is divided into 3 phases, taking place from July 5th to July 26th, 2020.

The Military Semester is one of the special modules of the educational program at TDTU. After completing two theoretical courses of National Defense and Security Education at Tan Phong Campus, students will take the Military Semester to complete the 3rd course. The full-time course consists of 08 consecutive days at Bao Loc and Nha Trang campuses.

Participating in the Military Semester, besides training basic military skills, students can experience and master first-aid techniques, such as wound dressings, hemostasis, artificial respiration, evacuation and life skills under field conditions. More importantly, the Military Semester also helps students to be aware of the meaning of participating in community activities, respecting the collective, promoting positive behavior, self-discipline, sacrifice, dedication, etc.

For many years, the Military Semester has made a significant impression on many generations of TDTU students during their training years here.
