On October 15, 2024, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) hosted a cooperation agreement signing ceremony with the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City.
Representing the Pasteur Institute was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Trung, Director of the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City, alongside Deputy Directors and Heads of various Departments within the Institute.
On behalf of TDTU, Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of the University, attended the event with representatives from the University’s Faculties, Departments, and Units.
During the meeting, both parties discussed and appreciated each other’s potential and strengths, expressing a mutual desire to foster a long-term and sustainable partnership. Representatives from relevant Faculties at TDTU and the Training Center of the Institute also explored opportunities to expand collaboration in training activities besides bringing TDTU students to the Institute for internships and thesis work, which has been an ongoing effort. Potential areas of cooperation include training courses, specialized skills courses, internship programs, lecturer exchange, and joint development of study programs were also discussed. Regarding scientific research, both parties agreed to collaborate on organizing scientific workshops and conferences at both national and international levels. The Pasteur Institute also committed to supporting TDTU with laboratory facilities and technical equipment, enabling students and researchers to conduct fundamental research.
During the working session, the two institutions signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement, reinforcing their commitment to mutual growth and sustainable, effective collaboration. Both parties expressed a desire to further strengthen ties through additional networking activities beyond their professional domains, aiming to build a strong and lasting partnership.
