On 13th January 2024, the delegation from the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai Province and Duc Pho Commune chaired a working session with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
The delegation of the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee was led by Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan - Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee, together with representatives of relevant departments of Quang Ngai Province. The delegation of the Duc Pho Commune People’s Committee was headed by Mr. Do Tam Hien - Chairman of the Duc Pho Commune People’s Committee, along with representatives from departments of the Commune.
On behalf of TDTU, Dr. Tran Trong Dao - President of TDTU, together with the leaders of relevant departments, faculties, institutes, and centers, warmly welcomed the delegation.
The delegation visited several facilities serving education, training, and research at TDTU, including Hall 2A, Inspire Library, Sports Complex, FIFA-standard Stadium, Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) before having a working session with the University’s Presidential Board.
In his speech during the session, Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan – Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee expressed his impressions of the facilities as well as his appreciation for the warm and friendly welcome from the University. Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan conveyed his desire for TDTU to share their experience regarding university administration, accreditation activities, policies for lecturers and staff development, as well as the operational mode of VFIS.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President of TDTU, expressed his sincere gratitude for the recognition and effective assistance of the Quang Ngai Province to TDTU, evidently through recent coordinating projects between TDTU and relevant units, departments, branches, and in-town enterprises. Meanwhile, he also highlighted that the University’s current achievements are all the result of the consensus and efforts made by every staff, in the spirit of devotion, dedication, and creativity. In addition, TDTU’s Presidential Board also disclosed the University’s development goals and the operational model of VFIS – being the only international high school in Vietnam that is affiliated with a public university. Both parties expressed their desires and plans for future cooperation in implementing 2024’s Spring Volunteer Campaign in Duc Pho Commune.
Previously, on 17th July 2023 in Quang Ngai province, TDTU’s delegations led by Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Deputy Committee Secretary and President of the University, together with representative leaders of subordinate units, chaired a meeting at the headquarter of Quang Ngai’s Provincial People’s Committee to discuss, agree, and sign the implementation plan of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee and TDTU within the period of 2023 – 2027.
