On August 2, 2023, the Delegation from Rubber Industrial College (RIC) which is a member of the Vietnam Rubber Group led by Dr. Bui Dinh Ninh - Vice Rector, paid a visit to Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
From TDTU, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Vice President - and representatives of leaders of TDTU Departments and Faculties welcomed and worked with the delegation.
The delegation was guided to visit the Inspiration Library, the international building, the FIFA standard stadium, the Vietnam - Finland International School, the dormitory, and the system of laboratories and functional practice rooms.
Dr. Bui Dinh Ninh representing RIC expressed his impression of the quality of facilities and the development in educational management of TDTU, and wished for a connection and cooperation in education and training between RIC and TDTU.
At the meeting, on the basis of each party’s strengths, especially with the strength of TDTU acting as one of the two human resource training institutions for the Vietnam Trade Union system, the two parties exchanged and discussed the desire and possibility to implement the association in a number of study programs, especially training classes on trade union operations, study programs at undergraduate and graduate levels in chemical engineering and industrial relations, business administration, etc. Both parties also expressed their desire to cooperate in professional skills development study programs for employees of the Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) and connecting the Group with the network of TDTU’s business partners, as well as, share and implement scientific and technological development.
The aim of the visit and work of the delegation is to concretize the cooperation contents and implementation of the signed cooperation agreement between the University and the Group.
RIC, formerly known as the School of Mechanical Workers in the Rubber Industry, was established in 1978, under the VRG. Over 45 years of establishment and development, it has gained many accolades, especially being awarded the First, Second, and Third Class Labor Medals by the President and many certificates of merit by the Prime Minister. RIC has implemented 100% autonomy in recurrent expenditures and development investment expenditures since 2017.
