On July 16, 2023, the delegation of representatives from Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) led by Dr. Vu Anh Duc, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the University Council, together with the Department of Education and Training (DOET) of Ho Chi Minh City, the DOET of Tay Ninh province, and Tay Ninh province Federation of Labor participated in the working delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training to pay tribute at the Memorial Monument for martyrs in the Education sector. At this memorial, many generations of teachers sacrificed themselves during the period of anti-American resistance for national salvation at the Martyrs Cemetery on Hill 82 (Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh province). This is an activity to commemorate the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023).
On this occasion, the delegation of representatives from TDTU also attended the inauguration ceremony of the teacher’s public house at Tan Khai Elementary School in Tan Lap commune, Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh province. This is a construction project to welcome the Trade Union Congress at all levels, towards the 13th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, for the term 2023-2028. At the ceremony, the TDTU delegation presented congratulatory gifts to the teachers to encourage and boost their morale in their teaching work, and to continue their efforts on the journey of bringing knowledge to students in difficult border areas.
