During May 22-27, 2023, the ship 561 carried the delegation of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) led by Mr. Vu Anh Duc - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council together with the delegation 14 of the Navy to the islands: Song Tu Tay, Truong Sa, Sinh Ton Dong, Da Tay A, Len Dao and the DK1/18 rig house in order to visit officers, soldiers and people.

On each island, the delegation heard reports on the activities and lives of officers and soldiers. The delegation’s Head encouraged and wished good health to the island’s militiamen. He also expected that all militiamen would always have a strong will and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

On this occasion, the delegation also held a memorial ceremony for Truong Sa heroes and martyrs and offered incense at Uncle Ho, heroes and martyrs Memorial House on the islands in order to review the nation’s heroic history, consolidate pride, and raise patriotism.

With noble actions and gestures to promote the spirit of national unity, the delegation was honored to be awarded the campaign medal “For the cause of protecting sovereignty over sea and islands” and the badge “Truong Sa Soldier”.
