On the afternoon of April 14, 2023, the Department of Education and Training of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province led by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trung - Head of the Quality Management Department together with experts from functional units of the Department and the School Boards of 29 high schools in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
From TDTU, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Vice President and leaders of related units welcomed the delegation.
The two sides have summarized the results of cooperation, especially in the field of education over the past time. Since 2018, there have been 1310 students of the province studying at TDTU. The University has supported more than 1.7 billion VND for students in the province with various forms of scholarships such as admission priority scholarships for high schools signing an agreement with TDTU, scholarships for students under the preferential treatment policy, scholarship for the valedictorian in the entrance exam, scholarships during the Covid-19 pandemic, etc. and more than 579 million VND of tuition fee was reduced in 2022 for students.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trung expressed his impression of TDTU’s modern infrastructure system and the annual improvement in science - technology, and highly appreciated the professional manners, politeness and discipline of TDTU students. In addition, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trung expected the University to support and advise high schools in the province to build a curriculum framework according to the continuous education model and promote scientific research for students of the province.
On this occasion, TDTU together with the School Boards of 29 high schools of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement in developing education, fostering and improving professional capacity for teachers in the province, cooperation in scientific research and technology transfer for high schools, career counseling, and scholarship and accommodation support for students, contributing to provide the province with high-quality human resources to meet the needs of socio-economic development.
