On the afternoon of April 7, 2023, Mr. Nguyen Van Toan - Director of the Department of Education and Training, Dr. Phan Thanh Hai - Deputy Director of the Department, and the Boards of Principals of 38 high schools in Dak Nong Province visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
Dr. Tran Trong Dao - the President of TDTU and representatives of functional units welcomed the delegation.
Following the cooperation agreement in the period of 2018 - 2023, TDTU has cooperated with Dak Nong Province to create conditions for students to access, visit, experience the university environment, and orient their future careers. In terms of student support, TDTU has provided students from the Province with nearly 700 million VND with various forms of scholarships such as priority scholarships for admission to signed high schools, study promotion scholarships, and scholarships for students with difficult circumstances, scholarships to support during the Covid-19 pandemic, ... Over the past years, nearly 200 students from Dak Nong Province studying at TDTU have graduated, with the employment rate within 1 year of graduation, reaching 99.6%, highly appreciated by enterprises for their solid professional skills and a good sense of discipline.
At the meeting, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai - Deputy Director of the Department highly appreciated the university administration model and the discipline of living and studying of TDTU students and hoped that the University would continue to accompany the province in the field of education, providing high-quality human resources to meet the needs of the province's socio-economic development in the future.
The Principal Boards of high schools in Dak Nong Province were also impressed with the system of facilities and living conditions for students at TDTU and proposed more contents for cooperation such as: organizing visits for parents and students in the province to experience the higher education environment, arranging for teachers and students with high achievements in learning and training to go to high schools to develop scientific research, providing specific and accurate information on admission methods, career counseling suitable for each audience and spreading positive values in the university culture of TDTU students to high school students in the province.
On this occasion, TDTU and the Principal Boards of 38 high schools of Dak Nong Province signed a new cooperation agreement based on the contents of education, training, and fostering of human resources, scientific research and technology transfer, admission consulting, scholarship support for students of the province to study at TDTU, providing a skillful and ethical workforce for Dak Nong Province in the future.
