Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam held the inauguration of the Robotics and Industrial Communication Networks Lab at TDTU on April 24, 2019. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Izumi Matsumoto, General Director of Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam, together with Mr. Takashi Nakayama, Director of Automation Industry, Mr. Le Van Dong, Head of Automation Equipment Sales Department and Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hien, Member of the Editorial Board of Automation Industry Magazine. From TDTU, there was the presence of Prof. Le Vinh Danh, TDTU's President, Dean and lecturers of Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam has funded TDTU with the company's most modern automation equipment which is worth nearly 3 billion VND to build Robotics and Industrial Communication Networks Lab. In particular, Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam Company has also sponsored a robot arm to serve the needs of teaching and researching robots at TDTU.
At the ceremony, “I feel very proud to be able to represent Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam to work with TDTU here. TDTU is like a national treasure because it is the place to train advanced engineers to serve the development of industry 4.0. Therefore, Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam is keen on supporting TDTU, thereby contributing to the development of modern science and technology of Vietnam and the world,” said Mr. Izumi Matsumoto, General Director of Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam.
Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam has also awarded certificates to the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering's lecturers who had completed the company's training course on PLC, industrial communication networks, inverters, AC motors and robots.
