On the afternoon of August 06, 2018, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and the Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) held a signing ceremony for comprehensive cooperation on the basis of potentials and mutual- assistance capabilities of the two sides. Attending the signing ceremony at TDTU were Mr. Tran Ngoc Thuan, Party Secretary, Chairman of VRG Board; Mr. Vo Sy Luc, Deputy Secretary of VRG Party Committee; Mr. Huynh Van Bao, General Director of VRG together with members of Board of Directors, leaders of units under VRG. On behalf of TDTU, there were the President, members of the Presidential board and leaders of departments and faculties. With the motto: quality and efficiency for the goal of sustainable development, TDTU and VRG agreed on many contents for implementation after the signing ceremony; It focuses on training high quality human resources for VRG according to the model of training for local needs; creating conditions for students to listen for practice and work in the VRC; cooperating in scientific and technological research and developing new products with diversified activities, especially the co-founding of the key Polymer lab; organizing scientific seminars on rubber, chemical technology; organize seminars on practical experience in corporate governance, polymerization, inorganic chemistry for TDTU students and learners; cooperating in investment promotion through creating the product supply chain, consulting on business environment improvement.
Delivering a speech at the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran Ngoc Thuan, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of VRG Board expressed his good impression on TDTU, on not only its external appearance but also the content which have many points in common with VRG. He said that the signing with TDTU is the right decision in VRG’s development strategy in the coming time. The Vietnam Rubber Group expected to work with TDTU on continuing to promote the strengths of each other, expand the cooperation in many areas in the future with the immediate goal is to set up a shared lab.
