Ton Duc Thang University Hosts the Final Round of the 6th National Robotics Innovation Competition 2026
On October 31 and November 1, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) hosted the Final Round of the 6th National Robotics Innovation Competition 2026, bringing together 276 teams comprising 517 contestants from 19 provinces and cities. By supporting the competition, the University helped provide an environment for students to interact, develop their creativity, and nurture their passion for science and technology.
The competition was held under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, with the Center for Science, Technology and Young Talent Development serving as the standing organizing body. Under the overarching theme “Vietnam Steadily Advancing into a New Era,” the competition aimed to inspire young people to learn, explore, and progressively master technology, while promoting STEM education and identifying and nurturing young talent.
Through designing, assembling, programming, and operating robots, contestants applied their knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to complete specific tasks. Challenges on competition fields, requirements to adjust programs within limited timeframes, and coordinated robot operation helped participants develop logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, perseverance, and teamwork skills. The competition also provided opportunities for students, teachers, and coaches from different localities to exchange experiences and share approaches to learning and applying technology.
At the conclusion of the Final Round, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize in the overall delegation rankings to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Lam Dong Province, the Second Prize to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dong Nai Province, and the Third Prize to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An Province. In addition, four First Prizes, 12 Second Prizes, and 16 Third Prizes were presented to outstanding teams and contestants across the four competition categories.
As the host institution, TDTU worked closely with the Organizing Committee in preparing and coordinating activities throughout the Final Round. The University's modern facilities, together with thorough preparations for competition venues and event logistics, provided favorable conditions for participating teams. TDTU staff coordinated effectively in organizing the event, welcoming participants, providing guidance, and supporting delegations, contributing to the smooth and professional delivery of the program.
As part of the competition, the University also organized campus tours and activities introducing TDTU's learning, scientific research, and innovation environment to students, teachers, parents, and participating organizations. By supporting the competition, TDTU demonstrated its commitment to STEM education and the development of young talent while creating further opportunities for students to explore a university environment and pursue their aspirations in learning and innovation.
