Ton Duc Thang University and the Dong Nai City Federation of Labour Sign Cooperation Agreement to Promote Digital Transformation and Enhance the Capacity of Trade Union Officials

On July 2, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and the Dong Nai City Federation of Labour signed a Cooperation Agreement for the 2026–2030 period. Building on the strengths of both parties in education, scientific research, technology transfer, and innovation, the agreement aims to develop high-quality human resources to meet the demands of digital transformation and international integration.

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of the Dong Nai City Federation of Labour was Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and President of the Dong Nai City Federation of Labour. Representing TDTU was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of the University, together with leaders of affiliated units from both organizations.

Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate across multiple areas. A key focus is the education and professional development of trade union officials, union members, and workers through undergraduate, postgraduate, and short-term training programs. They will also jointly organize courses to enhance professional knowledge, practical competencies, and digital skills in response to evolving workforce demands. In addition, TDTU will offer scholarship opportunities for trade union officials and their children under the Dong Nai City Federation of Labour.

The partnership also includes cooperation in scientific research, technology transfer, and innovation; the co-organization of scientific conferences, forums, consultancy activities, and business support programs; and the promotion of stronger connections among the University, trade unions, and enterprises. These collaborative efforts are expected to maximize the impact of education, research, and the application of science and technology in support of local socio-economic development.

As a higher education institution under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, TDTU has consistently worked alongside trade unions in fulfilling their mission of supporting workers, developing high-quality human resources, and improving the quality of working life. The signing of this cooperation agreement with the Dong Nai City Federation of Labour further demonstrates the University's commitment to connecting knowledge, promoting technology transfer, and advancing educational values, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the locality, businesses, and the nation.
