From May 27 to 29, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized the 5th International Conference on Sustainable Development in Civil, Urban and Transportation Engineering – CUTE 2026.

CUTE (The 5th International Conference on Sustainable Development in Civil, Urban and Transportation Engineering) is an international scientific conference series initiated by Ton Duc Thang University in 2016 and held biennially. Over the years, the conference has established itself as a prestigious academic forum in the fields of construction, architecture, urban development, and transportation engineering, attracting a large number of scientists, experts, and administrators from universities and research institutes both in Vietnam and abroad.
The conference was hosted by Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in collaboration with many prestigious universities worldwide, including Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Poland), Hasselt University (Belgium), the University of Trieste (Italy), Universiti Malaysia Perlis and Universiti Teknologi MARA (Malaysia), National University of Kaohsiung (Taiwan, China), and the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. This year, the conference attracted more than 150 scientific papers from 75 universities and research institutes across 13 countries and territories, including Australia, France, Italy, Taiwan (China), Poland, Malaysia, India, the UAE, South Korea, and the Philippines.

The presentations at the conference focused on introducing emerging research trends and practical solutions to address the growing challenges posed by rapid urbanization and climate change. Research topics covered various areas such as green construction engineering, climate-adaptive urban planning, efficient transportation systems, and carbon emission reduction. In addition, many studies explored advanced construction materials, structural mechanics, ground improvement, and foundation engineering, aiming to enhance the safety, stability, and long-term sustainability of urban infrastructure.

The conference also received support from enterprises operating in the fields of construction, transportation, and urban development, thereby strengthening connections between the research community and businesses. This participation contributed to promoting technology transfer, expanding collaboration opportunities, and effectively applying scientific research outcomes in practice.

According to the organizing committee, CUTE 2026 was designed as a platform connecting academia and practice, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaborative research. In addition to keynote sessions delivered by distinguished international speakers, the conference also featured parallel discussion sessions, scientific poster exhibitions, and networking spaces for research groups.

Continuing the international scientific conference series initiated by Ton Duc Thang University and hosted in rotation at universities around the world, CUTE 2026, with the participation of numerous scientists from many countries, once again affirmed the prestige and quality of academic events organized by Ton Duc Thang University.
