On November 19, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) had the honor of welcoming the Delegation from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), led by Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan – Vice Chairman of the VGCL. The delegation congratulated and presented flowers to the lecturers and staff on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20).
On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the VGCL extended his regards and encouragement, wishing the TDTU lecturers and staff to strive to continue to be the pride of the VGCL and the Vietnamese working class, an outstanding example for the education sector, and make significant contributions to the community and society.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan also acknowledged and commended the University for successfully welcoming the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic’s Parliament and his delegation earlier that day. The Vice Chairman commented that TDTU being chosen as the venue for the delegation to visit and speak with the lecturers and students, with the visit coinciding with the 43rd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 – November 22, 2025), further increased the special significance for the entire TDTU lecturers and staff. He affirmed that TDTU will continue striving to develop joint training and research programs, and expand the international cooperation network, especially with universities and educational organizations in the Czech Republic. This also serves as evidence of TDTU’s prestige, stature, and position in international cooperation in higher education.

The attention from the VGCL is a profound source of encouragement for TDTU – a university established and developed over many years with the trust, support, and companionship of the Vietnamese Trade Union Organization. The warm wishes and the presence of the Leaders are not only an honor but also affirm the affection, responsibility, and continued commitment of the Vietnamese Trade Union Organization to support the University’s comprehensive development in its journey toward the goals of education, research, and high-quality human resource development for the nation.
