Three prestigious ISI journals of the publisher Elsevier including European Journal of Mechanics, A/Solids; Computers & Structures, and Composite Structures have recently hornoured Dr. Thai Hoang Chien, the researcher of Division of Computational Mechanics (DCM) of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) with his most cited articles.
“The most cited articles” from the journals of Elsevier is the recognition in honouring the researchers who have research work listed the top 25 articles which has been the most-cited articles published in the journal extracted from the data on Scopus since 2013.
According to Scopus database since 2013, the number of the most cited articles in European Journal of Mechanics, A/Solids is 25 out of 738 (top 3%), 25 out of 1027 (top 2%) in Computers & Structures, and 25 out of 4749 (top 0.5%) in Composite Structures.
For the meaning of this honour, Dr. Thai Hoang Chien shared his comments: “This is the very first step of being considered for the title ‘Highly cited researcher’ of Clarivate (ISI, USA). In Vietnam, it is difficult for scientists to have papers with high citations, and I think it is truly a great honour and motivation for me to contribute more to TDTU’s development in science and technology. I hope that research activities at TDTU will increase not only in quantity but also in quality that can be seen by attracting more and more scientific citations.”
Dr. Thai Hoang Chien also emphasized: “To increase citations, the publication has to be innovative. We have to collaborate with senior scientists in the field.”
Dr. Thai Hoang Chien is one of the “rising stars” of TDTU. Up to now, Dr. Thai Hoang Chien has published 41 articles in prestigious ISI journals. According to Scopus database of the Netherlands, he achieves 1340 citations, and his Scopus H-index is 22. Dr. Thai Hoang Chien is a member of Division of Computational Mechanics (DCM), one of the first research groups of TDTU.
European Journal of Mechanics, A/Solids; Computers & Structures and Composite Structures are categorized into Q1 by ISI - Web of Knowledge (US) and world-leading journals in mechanics.
