On the afternoon of March 29, 2022, the Vietnam - Netherlands Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). The delegation included Mr. Tran Quoc Dat - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - Netherlands Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Minh Huy Joint Stock Company, Mr. Ngo Luong Nam Duong - General Director and Mr. Luong Trong Can - Managing Director of Ong Bau Coffee Joint Stock Company, and Lawyer Nguyen Kiem Khach - General Secretary of the Vietnam - Netherlands Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City. Representatives from TDTU included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vuong Duc Hoang Quan - Chairman of the University Council, Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach - Director of the International Cooperation, Research and Training Institute, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa - Dean of the Faculty of Labor Relations and Trade Unions, and representatives of the Center of Enterprise Cooperation and Alumni.
Leaders of businesses in the Vietnam - Netherlands Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City highly appreciated the ethics of TDTU students. With more than 20 years of training human resources and business leaders, Mr. Tran Quoc Dat was really interested in the university culture and the promotion of character education for TDTU students. He believed that it would be an important factor for a person to successfully contribute to business and society. Mr. Ngo Luong Nam Duong was very surprised when TDTU students bowed when he entered the University. He emphasized that in his business, personnel with good character will be recruited first, then they will receive more specialized training.
With the spirit of development “from the root to the top”, Ong Bau Coffee proposed to cooperate with TDTU in activities associated with the interests of students such as start-ups, sports, and internships. The Vietnamese Talent Development Fund, initiated by the company, will create conditions for students to invest and manage a coffee truck towards their dream of owning a large store. With strengths in sports, especially football, Ong Bau Coffee will organize exchange tournaments with professional football teams, and coordinate with the University to develop sports and skills for students.
