On the morning of May 6, 2022, representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia including Mr. Nguyen Hai Trung - Counselor, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chieu - 2nd Secretary of the Embassy, ​​Mr. Do Trong Nghia - Chief of Office of the Party Committee - Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ho Chi Minh City visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Accompanying the delegation was Mr. Dinh Quang Tuan - Director of OpenNet Company (Cambodia).

Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach - Acting Director of the International Cooperation, Research & Training Institute, and leaders of a number of units represented TDTU to welcome the delegation.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the learning situation of Vietnamese-Cambodian students at TDTU. Over the years, Cambodian students in general and Vietnamese-Cambodian students in particular have received the attention and facilitation from TDTU's Presidential Board in awarding scholarships and providing favorable conditions to take short-term and long-term programs at the University. From 2020 until now, TDTU has awarded 50 scholarships to Vietnamese-Cambodian students in undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese and 50 to those in undergraduate programs taught in English. This support has contributed to strengthening the friendly relationship between the two countries Vietnam and Cambodia.

Sharing the same orientation to contribute to improving the quality of education for the Vietnamese community in Cambodia, in the working program, OpenNet Company awarded 5 scholarships worth 160 USD/ each to Vietnamese-Cambodian students studying at TDTU. OpenNet has committed to providing stable jobs for students returning to Cambodia after graduation.

These meaningful scholarships will be the spiritual motivation to help students feel secure to study and practice to be ready for their contribution to society.
