2016 is about to close; many exciting activities for students have been conducted throughout the year at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Here are top the 10 events demonstrating for activeness and international integration of TDTU students in the past year.
Seeking to provide high school students with opportunities to experience the exposure of living and studying as a real undergraduate student, TDTU held extra-curricular activities entitled "TDTU Internship Student" for high school students. Launched in February 2016, the experience journey has given five courses and attracted nearly 3,000 students from 25 high schools in provinces throughout the country.
On July 18th, 2016, TDTU held the International Students Exchange Day 2016. This is opportunity for students not only to exchange culture but also to show the responsibility of Vietnamese citizens in promoting their beautiful images to international friends.
After a rigorous selection process, 25 TDTU engineers were honoured to be selected for the 2016 Standby Officer Training Program at the Military Region 7 School. TDTU was one of the first two universities in the South with student participation in the Officer Training Program 2016.
On the morning of November 5th 2016, TDTU press conference launched Hult Prize Vietnam. Hult Prize is a "Nobel Prize for Students" founded by former US President Bill Clinton on a global scale. TDTU is proud to be have been selected by the Hult Prize of Vietnam to host the 2016 competition with the participation of teams from 12 universities nationwide.
Nha Trang Campus students performed "Vietnam! Passing through the East Sea "on the occasion of the 71st National Day of Vietnam (02/09/1945 - 02/09/2016) to show patriotism, to strive constantly in learning and training and to be devoted to serving the country.
On August 22nd 2016, TDTU Stationery and Gift Souvenirs Exchange shop officially opened for business, it continues to be added to the list of the most exciting destinations at TDTU. This is an innovative business model to help students to create a start-up, and to have exchanges and build solidarity in the student community.
On December 24th, TDTU celebrated “TDTU Day”, the 19th anniversary of its establishment (24/09/1997 - 24/09/2016) with a series of activities. "TDTU DAY" is a useful playground, consolidating the relationship among generations of TDTU students, contributing to develop a school named Uncle Ton.
On November 19th 2016, TDTU inaugurated the system of electricity supply from solar energy. The system is an opportunity for students of TDTU, especially students of Faculty of Electrical & Electronic Engineering to approach and practice with advanced technology, firm expertise and quickly meet the needs of enterprises.
"Miss Ton Duc Thang University" contest first attracted the attention and competition of thousands of candidates with many diverse rounds in the search for the elite face to represent modern, graceful, talented TDTU students.
On the afternoon of December 11th 2016, the Closing Ceremony of the 2016 HCMC Student Football Championship took place at TDTU after nearly a month's competition of 16 excellent teams. TDTU finished in the runner-up position; Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhat from TDTU team received the best player award.
