Ton Duc Thang University signs a Cooperation Agreement with Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PVcomBank)

On December 19, 2024, Ton Duc Thang University held a ceremony to sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PVcomBank).

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of PVcomBank, were Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hanh, Deputy General Director of PVcomBank, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Director of the Southeast and North Saigon Region, along with representatives from various units and branches under PVcomBank. Representatives from Ton Duc Thang University were Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President, and leaders from the Departments, Faculties, and other units.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President, expressed his excitement about the opportunity to collaborate with PVcomBank and hoped that both parties would leverage their respective strengths and potential during the partnership. In addition, with numerous campuses across the country, the leaders of TDTU expressed the desire for the cooperation between the two units to extend beyond Ho Chi Minh City.

In her response, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hanh, Deputy General Director of PVcomBank, emphasized the goal of building a meaningful, valuable, and practical partnership that benefits all parties involved. The representative from PVcomBank was also impressed by the University’s modern and well-equipped facilities, its high-quality study programs that ensure graduates meet the needs of enterprises, and the discipline and academic performance of TDTU students.

During the session, the two parties signed a cooperation agreement covering various areas, including training, scientific research, human resource provision, the organization of workshops and career orientation programs, scholarships for students, and other fields.

PVcomBank is a large and reputable bank in both Vietnam and internationally. In its external relations and partnerships, the bank places special emphasis on social welfare, healthcare, and education. It has signed comprehensive cooperation agreements and invested in providing facilities for numerous universities across the country. Recently, PVcomBank has actively collaborated with and supported TDTU in various activities, including training, career orientation for students, organizing field trips, assisting students with internship courses, awarding scholarships, and creating suitable job opportunities.
