On the afternoon of August 12, 2022, in Lam Dong, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee signed an MOU for the period of 2022-2027.

On the TDTU side, there was the presence of Dr. Vu Anh Duc - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council, Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Acting President and leaders of functional units. On the side of the provincial government, there was the participation of Mr. Tran Dinh Van - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong Province, Dr. Pham S - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments of the province.

Representative of the governing body of TDTU was Mr. Tran Thanh Hai - Standing Vice Chairman of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The signing of this MOU demonstrates the consistent policy of TDTU and Lam Dong province in cooperation, as well as continues to create an environment for the two sides to implement specific programs in line with the development orientation of the University and the province's socio-economic development plan.

According to the MOU, the contents of cooperation include:

• Cooperation in education, training and fostering of human resources;
• Cooperation in scientific research and technology transfer;
• Cooperation in investment promotion and business environment improvement;
• Cooperation in a number of other socio-economic fields.

At the meeting, the two sides also summarized the cooperation program for the period 2015-2020.

As one of the provinces that has comprehensive cooperation with TDTU, Lam Dong is also the place where TDTU set up a campus in a fresh and modern ecological space. Over the past years, the two sides have carried out many programs and activities on human resource training, science and technology transfer, investment promotion, education, etc. The total number of students who come from Lam Dong province and have been studying at TDTU is 1,120. Since 2015, TDTU has awarded scholarships and given support in tuition fees to 247 students from Lam Dong with a total amount of more than 2 billion VND.

To ensure the effectiveness of cooperation programs, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and TDTU established Steering Committees and Working Groups to direct, administer, and organize the implementation as well as review, inspect and urge the implementation of cooperation contents; at the same time, organize a preliminary review and assessment of the implementation of cooperation contents on an annual basis.
