Ton Duc Thang University and The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology Implement Cooperation Plan in Research, Education, and Academic Development
On the afternoon of May 28, 2026, at its Tan Hung Campus, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) hosted a working session with a delegation from The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (DUT) to concretize the contents of the cooperation agreement signed between TDTU and The University of Danang on March 30, 2026.
Representing DUT were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tien Dung, Vice Rector and Head of the Delegation, along with leaders of functional departments and research groups. Representing TDTU were Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President, together with leaders of departments, institutes, faculties, and representatives of several key research groups.
During the meeting, the two universities signed a cooperation implementation plan and discussed in detail directions for future collaboration.
The cooperation will focus on several key areas, including faculty and expert exchange; the development and implementation of interdisciplinary academic programs and joint training programs both domestically and internationally; co-supervision of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations; and the establishment of joint research groups.
The two institutions also agreed to strengthen the sharing of academic resources, digital learning materials, databases, libraries, laboratories, and technological platforms that support teaching and scientific research. In addition, research groups from both universities will enhance collaboration in conducting research projects, publishing internationally, and participating in ministerial-level, national-level, and international key research programs.
Importantly, the working session also created opportunities for research groups from both institutions to meet and directly discuss potential areas of academic collaboration, share research strengths, and explore possibilities for joint projects and research initiatives in the future.
As part of the program, representatives of professional units exchanged experiences and discussed cooperation opportunities in various fields, including the organization of international scientific conferences, the development of internationally indexed academic journals, the promotion of international relations, and scholar and student exchange programs. The development of digital learning resources and academic publishing were also identified as areas of mutual interest.
Speaking at the meeting, leaders of both universities highly appreciated the cooperation potential between member institutions of The University of Danang and TDTU. They expressed confidence that future collaborative activities would leverage the strengths of each institution, enhance research and educational capacities, and further promote international academic integration.
