Signing cooperation with Long An International Port

On the afternoon of 29th October 2019, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held a signing ceremony of cooperation with Long An International Port (LAIP).

Attending the ceremony were Ms Vu Hong Ngoc, Deputy General Director; Ms Dinh Nguyen Phuong, Deputy Head of Human Resources Department; Mr Vu Anh Khoi, Deputy Head of Marketing Department; and LAIP experts.

Representatives of TDTU were Dr Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr Pham Thi Minh Ly, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration; and Dr Nguyen Thi Mai Linh, Dean of Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety.

According to the discussion, the two sides agreed on cooperation programs, including creating opportunities for students to practice or have the apprenticeship in LAIP, prioritizing the recruitment of graduates from TDTU, organizing career-skill development programs, cooperation in scientific research and technology transfer, giving priority to using each other’s services, developing scholarship funds; etc…

Ms Vu Hong Ngoc expressed her impression of TDTU and commented that what it was having was equivalent to that of major universities abroad. She also highly appreciated the politeness and standards of the students; and said that this is the foundation requirement that large businesses are focusing on. She also hoped that TDTU would coordinate to implement soft skills training programs for human resources of LAIP.

Long An International Port is one of the largest seaports in the South, including 7 wharves capable of receiving ships of 30,000 - 50,000 DWT.
