Signing cooperation agreement with Vietnam Logistics Association

In the morning of September 21, 2019, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held a Signing Ceremony of a Cooperation Agreement with Vietnam Logistics Association and awarded the Certificate of International Freight Forwarding Management to students majoring in International Business in accordance with the standards set forth by the Federation of International Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA). 

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Thomas Sim, Chairman of FIATA Career Advisory Council; Mr. Le Duy Hiep, Chairman of Service Business of Vietnam Logistics Association (VLA); Ms. Huynh Nhu Nguyet, Director of Vietnam Logistics and Aviation School (VLAS); Ms. Cao Thi Quynh Giao, Director of Vietnam Shipping Gazette Magazine (VSG) and representatives of other close-knit businesses. Representatives from TDTU included Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice President; the Dean and lecturers of the Faculty of Business Administration; and more than 150 students from the High-Quality International Business Program, Intake 20.

The FIATA international vocational certificate program was launched two years ago for students of the High-Quality International Business Program. With this certificate, students are updated with the latest practical knowledge about logistics, ensuring that they are fully confident when working in an international environment.

The logistics industry is developing rapidly and needs high quality human resources. The cooperation with Vietnam Logistics Association will create favorable conditions for TDTU students to practice in practical and professional working environment. Further, under the Cooperation Agreement, VILAS, VLA and VSG will prioritize the recruitment of TDTU students, as well as coordinate to organize training programs for vocational certificates, skills development and career orientation for students.
