Seminar “Skills to Recognize and Protect Ourselves from the Dangers of Drugs” for TDTU students

On June 14, 2024, the Youth Union of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), in collaboration with the Youth Union of the People’s Police University (PPU), organized a seminar on “Skills to Recognize and Protect Ourselves from the Dangers of Drugs”.

Regarding the guests, the event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Colonel Phan Cong Chuyen, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Drug Crime Investigation, People’s Police University, who also served as the seminar’s speaker, and Comrade Cong Ton Tuan Anh, Member of the Standing Committee of District 7 Youth Union.

On the side of TDTU, the event was attended by Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice President of TDTU, Comrade Tran Le Anh Huy, Secretary of the Youth Union and Deputy Head of the Department of Student Affairs, along with several representatives from TDTU departments and students.

At the seminar, the speaker introduced various common types of drugs, how to recognize them, and the severe consequences that drugs have on both physical and mental health. He provided guidance on essential skills to protect oneself from the temptations and pressures of the surrounding environment, particularly in school and social settings. He also shared real-life stories of drug abuse cases, helping students to better understand the serious repercussions and encouraging them to take positive actions for prevention.
