Jeonbuk National University visits and works with Ton Duc Thang University

On November 28, 2022, the representatives of Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), South Korea, led by Prof. Park Sung June - Vice President, visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).

On behalf of TDTU, Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach - Acting Director of the International Cooperation, Research and Training Institute; Dr. Nguyen Truong Huy - Acting Head of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dr. Pham Van Huy - Acting Head of the Faculty of Information Technology; and Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan - Assistant to the Faculty of Applied Science welcomed the delegation.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed potential cooperation programs in the field of training, lecturer and student exchanges, and cooperation in research and organizing scientific conferences. In particular, the two sides discussed in detail about the potential in cooperation to bring scientific research projects into high-quality actual products to the Vietnamese and Korean markets.

On this occasion, TDTU, in collaboration with JBNU, organized a workshop with the theme "The development of medical and healthcare technologies in the industrial revolution 4.0" to provide TDTU lecturers and students with insights into the application of some basic compounds in cosmetics, the application of artificial intelligence in medical prediction, etc. The updated knowledge and content did encourage valuable discussions among TDTU lecturers and students.

Jeonbuk National University is one of the well-recognized public institutions, among the largest and most prestigious universities in South Korea. Founded in 1947, JBNU currently has more than 32,000 undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students. The university was ranked in the TOP 551-560 in the world and 102nd in Asia, according to the QS World University Rankings 2023.
